Cloudflare Tunnel Error 1033 Troubleshooter
Check connector health before changing origin settings.
What this usually means
Error 1033 means Cloudflare cannot find a healthy connector for the Tunnel that should serve the hostname. This is a connector availability problem before normal origin troubleshooting begins.
What it does not mean
1033 is not evidence that your application port, certificate or origin URL is wrong. Those settings cannot help while Cloudflare has no usable connector.
Typical redacted log
Error 1033: no healthy connector is available for this Tunnel
Check in this order
These are baseline command examples. For Windows Service or Kubernetes, open the analyzer and select the actual environment to get platform-native commands.
cloudflared versioncloudflared tunnel listcloudflared tunnel info <TUNNEL_NAME_OR_UUID>cloudflared tail <TUNNEL_UUID>Common false diagnoses
- Changing the application port before confirming a connector is registered.
- Debugging the origin certificate while the Tunnel has no healthy connector.
- Treating one old 1033 line as current failure when later logs show a registered connection.
How to verify recovery
- At least one expected connector is active for the Tunnel.
- New logs show a registered Tunnel connection.
- The hostname stops returning 1033 for fresh requests.
